Head of School
With more than two decades of experience, Sandy leads KLA with a passion for turning classrooms into vibrant places where students are challenged to excel.
Background & experience
Sandy attended Stony Brook University. Her educational philosophy centers on a Biblical worldview and a kingdom-education approach that recognizes and develops the unique gifts and talents of each student.
Angela Reed
Principal
Angela brings more than 15 years of classroom experience and a particular passion for helping students develop confidence and a love of mathematics.
Background & experience
She earned a degree in Elementary Education with minors in English and History from Queens University. Her classroom background now complements her leadership work supporting KLA’s academic and administrative functions.
Jacqueline Noviello
Upper Elementary Teacher
Jacqueline has more than 12 years of teaching experience and focuses on helping students make progress through instruction shaped around their individual learning needs.
Background & experience
A Winthrop University graduate in Early Childhood Education, she moved into Learning Support in 2023 and also serves KLA athletics as Assistant Athletic Director.
Mario J. Noviello, M.S. USAB
Athletic Director · Upper Science Instructor
Coach Mario combines education, athletics, and wellness with real-world experience, bringing an engaging, practical, and no-nonsense approach to teaching and leadership.
Background & experience
Coach Mario's academic background includes Human Nutrition, Exercise Science, and Science. He is a veteran, business owner, and instructor at York Technical College. His diverse professional experience informs his approach to education, coaching, and developing future leaders.
Marla Blakeney
Middle School and High School Math
Marla teaches mathematics with an emphasis on making difficult ideas engaging and accessible while recognizing the individual strengths and needs of each student.
Background & experience
She holds a teaching certification from Mississippi and brings a background in music into her classroom, using creativity alongside a Biblical worldview to build confidence and academic growth.
