LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!! Kingdom Leadership Academy is thrilled for this year’s Arts Explosion! This year is extra special because nearly half of our elective classes are being taught by student teachers. Arts Explosion is a schoolwide event that highlights a variety of electives, and this year’s featured play is Cinderella: Grace Beyond Midnight. This musical, biblical rendition of the classic Cinderella story focuses heavily on themes of forgiveness.

The electives showcased include art, dance, stage design, film, vocals, event planning, and much more. We’re committed to encouraging our students to lead in unique ways and to showcase their talents.

Check out our lineup of student teachers and what they’ll be contributing to the event:

  • Lily, a talented senior, is teaching second-year theatrical music and composition. She’s leading a group of students in writing and composing the live music for the play. (Be sure to check out her songs from last year on YouTube!)

  • Gadiel and Arriel, both seniors, are teaching a cinematic film class. They’ll be filming the backstory of our play, using a film course inspired by the director of The Chosen. We don’t want to give too much away, but it’s sure to be exciting!

  • Aubrey, a junior, is in charge of choreographing the dance pieces for the play. She’s creating two show-stopping solos that you won’t want to miss.

  • Talitha, another senior, is teaching costume design. It’s a lot of fun to walk into her class and see the sewing kits out. We can't wait to see the final design for Cinderella’s dress!

  • Faith, a junior, is teaching theatrical makeup. She’s determined to make the actors and actresses virtually unrecognizable!

In addition to teaching, students ranging from 8th to 12th grade they also work hard to create budgets, plan field trips, and attend meetings. We’re incredibly proud of them and the work they’ve put into making this event a success.

Get your tickets today and come out to support these amazing students! The funds raised from the show will go towards purchasing two 12-passenger vans for the school.

See you at the show!!
